“Sorry for missing the meeting, but I just had to get this issue handled, and, after all, it was just a Journey meeting.”

Once the words came out of my mouth I realized the I was giving was really lame.  Dr. B’s words flashed on the video screen in my head “The Journey is Our .”  My Dad’s words from our most recent Executive Session stung… “And the Tip Of Our Spear We Find Our Journey Culture – – That’s our Greatest .”

And here I was bailing on my biggest responsibility! “Come on Justin,” I said to myself. “Let’s do the Journey right!”

The Journey is not new to me.  I have heard “I am the problem” in my own home since I delivered to the dinner table the first questionable grade card.  What is new to me is the constant discovery that leading with The Journey principles and tools makes my goals possible – – no…probable.

I have had a relationship with the principles of The Journey my whole life.  Most people learn The Journey in their work life and then realize it works in their .  I am on the opposite path, I know The Journey works in my personal life and now I am discovering how amazing it is in my professional life.

I am on a discovery journey about The Journey (as funny as that sounds). It is not just about learning the mechanics of the tools; but rather about why The Journey Way is the right way to lead. It is about looking both inside of myself and outside at others.   It is about learning “My Journey” and how The Journey makes me and those I serve able to achieve Great Performance.  I have been through the phase where I thought being “On The Journey” meant using the right buzz words and turning in the plans on time, now I am on the real journey of learning.

I am collecting my “ah ha moments”.  Every two weeks I will be sharing my “Just Journey” thoughts and applications with you.  I invite you to come along this discovery journey with me; comment on my posts; open up discussion and learning about something that really does make life better.

I don’t think I will be hearing myself saying “Oh it was just a Journey meeting” ever again.
